Nokera, a German sustainable construction company headquartered in Switzerland, has chosen the Lithuanian town of Rudamina near Vilnius for its new production facility and plans to create around 300 jobs over the next few years.
Elijus Civilis, head of Lithuania's foreign investment promotion agency Investuok Lietuvoje (Invest Lithuania), told BNS negotiations with the company on potential investment were very fast.
"The company approached the agency last spring and made up its mind quickly. We competed against Poland, Croatia, but they had no doubt about investing 30 million euros into this project and creating 300 jobs," Civilis told BNS.
Ins his words, under the agreement with the agency, the company plans to start he construction in the second quarter of next year and complete the project by the first quarter of 2023.
"Around 300 production, marketing and management specialist will work at the production facility of 22,000 square meters," Civilis said.
A strategic location, great infrastructure, highly skilled and motivated employees as well as manufacturing competencies are among the reasons why Nokera chose Vilnius district for a new facility, Invest Lithuanian said in a statement.
